City Lights

            It is 6:00pm evening, the air moving through the Vizag city is cool. Today being Sunday, all the neighboring people of Vizag city came here for shopping and to enjoy the week end. All were wandering on roads; some are busy in restaurants, while some are coming after enjoying the beach. They all were happy now but after an hour or two they must leave to their home places leaving Vizag, and must get ready for their works as the following day is a Monday.

            Two face book friends Sanjay and Naveen planned today to meet in Vizag. Sanjay is from Srikakulam and Naveen is from Vizag. They enjoyed the entire day wandering eating enjoying, and now Naveen dropped sanjay at the bus station and he bid good bye.

  

          Sanjay went to the platform where his town bus arrives. He surprised to hear that the buses to his town are running late. So he took away his bag and sat on a bench. Surprisingly there was no one waiting for Srikakulam bus, so it is calm and the chilled air is blowing and the entire bus station is calm. We can only hear the announcements and the sound of the sweepers cleaning the roads can be heard. He took out his ear phones and plugged with his mobile and tapped to play a melody. The atmosphere being very chilled and the pleasant music running into his ears made him feel pleasant, he slowly closed his eyes and involved into the music.

            Sanjay is a boy of 21 years and he is good looking, helpful, and kind. The cool air is increasing its intensity; the time became 6:45pm. While the atmosphere is like this. Suddenly a sweet voice of a girl broke the silence of Sanjay, she is shouting “Stop, Stop….” Sanjay slowly opened his eyes and saw a beautiful girl running behind a city bus. The pleasant music and the cool atmosphere added a good sense to the sight of the girl.

            Sanjay stared at her until she got into the bus. He felt something inside himself that he never ever felt like this till today, he is now slightly disappointed of missing her from his sight. While he is thinking about that girl, his town bus came into the bus station. Slowly the bus left the bus station and soon on wheels in the middle of the city.

        

     A city gets its main beauty at night time, as every mall and shop in the city switches on the lights that look so attractive and if we have a view of these city lights from the top of the city you can observe how beautiful the CITY LIGHTS are. As the bus is moving through the city Sanjay’s eyes are out of the window and his sight is towards the colorful shops and malls which are receding as the bus is moving. The cool atmosphere, pleasant music, colorful city lights and the memories of that girl made sanjay to enjoy this feel for some more time.

          

   Straight ahead there are just a 2 traffic signal stops and after which the bus will be at the outskirts of the city and finally it leads out of the Vizag city to the main high way.

            

          There the bus slowed down at the first signal stop and stopped beside a city bus. Sanjay opened the window to let some fresh air in. Slowly sanjay took a glance at the city bus lying beside his bus. He saw that girl, whom he saw at the bus station. She is sitting beside the window. Sanjay now experienced the same feeling which he experienced at the bus station when he saw her. He is having this feeling for the first time and he liked this feeling very much. She looked very beautiful and very innocent and looking like a kind and pity girl.

            

             Sanjay enjoyed the sight of that girl with music and good atmosphere. The signal post finally turned green and the city bus moved ahead overtaking Sanjay’s bus. Now he lost her sight. Sanjay felt disappointed and thought in his heart” I wish I could see her once more”. Meanwhile the second traffic signal post arrived and the bus stopped, sanjay closed his eyes and he prayed god” please god let her bus be the one which is beside my bus”. He slowly turned and opened his eyes and he again found her in that bus. Now he is so happy beyond limits and he is also unable to share his happiness with someone. He thanked god for listening his words.

            But suddenly there raised some queries in his heart, “what should I do if I never see her again”, “what should I say if she asks me who are you”, “how could I be such foolish that I even don’t know her name and her place but I am in attraction with her”, thinking all these he was disappointed and decided to turn back towards his bus and be normal, he decided strongly to give up such feelings on her and closed his eyes.

            Now, that beautiful girl who sat beside the window of the city bus saw sanjay who forcedly closed his eyes. She felt in herself that he is handsome and is looking like a kind and a good person. Sanjay yet trying to control his feelings he finally opened his eyes and turned towards her. Now, both sanjay and that girl are looking into each other. The atmosphere and the music running into his ears added good taste to the sight of the girl in those city lights. The climate made them feel something deep inside their hearts. A small wave came from the bottom of their hearts and their heart beat increased. They are staring into each other forgetting their surroundings.

            The second signal post also turned green and now there will be only a kilometer road and there will be a divergence at the end of that road, one way leads out of the Vizag city and the other leads into the Vizag city. Here the girl’s city bus moves into the city and Sanjay’s bus moves out of the city.

            The buses are slowly moving parallel to each other, and they are still staring at each other. At the bottom of their hearts they like each other but they don’t know each other’s name and they are strangers to each other, they liked this feeling very much.

            The diverging point is approaching, still they are staring. Sanjay felt inside himself expecting something from her which would be a memory of her. But they were far apart that even they could not have a shake hand. He is feeling something and he was still expecting something from her which would satisfy him.

            Pleasant music, cool atmosphere in city lights and a couple looking into each other travelling in two buses parallel to each other moving at a speed of 70kmph, what else do a person need apart from this. The diverging point finally came and still they are stating into each other, the buses slowly started to move apart into different routes, the distance between them started increasing. And sanjay is still expecting something from her which would satisfy him.

            The buses moved into different direction, at the last instant of her sight she gave a beautiful smile with her dimple cheeks that smile made her look more beautiful and those dimples in her cheek added a good look of her in those city lights. This beautiful smile satisfied sanjay. And that smile became a remarkable image in his heart. Seeing her smiling, she took found a smile with dimples in Sanjay’s face, now after the exchange of these dimple smiles, both the buses went completely apart and they lost each other’s sight. One disappeared into the dark high way and the other into the City lights.

            Yet we may feel that there is no guarantee of their meeting again, the exchange of that smile at that instant means a lot and it says that “I like you forever and one day i’ll be yours”. City life is a good experience, and at nights in the city lights there will be a bundle of stories starting among the people, in some stories some become friends some become sisters and some may become life partners.
