It is a
fine morning. The birds are chirping in the garden of the college. The
butterflies are flying from one flower to another flower. The water drops over
the glass are reflecting the sunlight in all directions. Anjali is sitting on the
bench and thinking about Nandan. Still 14 days left to meet him at this place.
She waited for 4 years for that day. As that day is nearing, she is very
excited to meet him and she wanted to express her love towards him and also to
tell him how she spent all these 4 years.
Every
thing is fine but her mind is being distracted by the giant red planet in the
sky. And the reason for her fear is that the earth is now actually in the
gravitational field of that giant planet. And she heard scientists telling that
in a week or two the earth may collapse with the giant planet and which results
to an end of the life on the earth.

The last chance for the survival
ISRO- NASA-JAXA (meeting of all the scientists in Bangalore)
The scientists
from India, America and Japan are working together to push the giant planet
away from the earth. Meanwhile the appointed head for these three organizations
came to the meeting hall and started his words.
The head: What is the earth’s current status?
A NASA scientist: We have to do what we can to push the huge
planet only within these 8 days else our earth along with the huge
planet is going to enter into the Mars gravitational field on the 9th day, which causes earth to either collapse with the mars or
with the huge planet.
The head: Now the
whole world is in your hands. All your families, your friends and all your
beloved are hoping that you all can save them. This
should not be an end for the life on the planet earth. We
must win this battle between the human and the Nature. We must fight till the
last second we live on this planet, and we must
fight till the last breathe we take on this planet.
A JAXA scientist: Yes sir, we will applause for your
motivational words sir, but you know that we are in the gravitational field of a
giant useless planet; you also know that it is impossible to push that huge planet away from
the earth. It is not a satellite or an asteroid to push away from the earth; it is more massive than
our earth.
Nandan: Yes Mr. JAXA scientist, what you told is absolutely
right, we cannot push that huge planet from the earth but we can pull our earth out from
that huge planet’s gravity.
JAXA scientist: How?
Nandan: if we want to
send a satellite to moon against the gravity of the earth, we are making the satellite to move at a speed at which the
satellite can escape from the earth’s gravity that speed in
science known as the escape velocity. So we can get out of that giant planets
gravity by increasing the earth’s speed.
All of a sudden, all the scientists of ISRO, NASA and JAXA
laughed loudly and said,” Are you thinking this earth as a ship or an aero
plane to control as your wish, it is earth, a big planet and we are humans,
very much smaller than the earth”.
Nandan( with a smile in his face): “aero planes and ships
are also much bigger than a human but if a sailor
or a pilot compare the sizes of the planes and the ships with the size of a
human can he able to control
these?
It is
not the size we must worry about, it’s the way of thinking to handle the larger
things worries us”. The entire meeting hall became silent with the words of
Nandan. Nandan: sir, please give me 48 hours time, I’ll definitely
find a solution for this.
The head: ok, but what do you have?
Nandan (again with a smile): “at present I have nothing sir,
but I think the valuable words which you have given are enough to win
this battle with the nature”.
Nandan
along with his team left the meeting hall and started to work in the lab. At
first Nandan asked his team to calculate the escape velocity of that huge
planet. Nandan along with his team finally calculated the escape velocity of
that huge planet. He wrote that value on a piece of paper and started to think
how to equal this escape velocity value of the huge planet with the value of
the speed of the earth.
After thinking for a while, he
came to know that the value of the escape velocity and the rotation velocity of
the earth are approximately equal. He immediately ran to the head and said
Nandan: sir we can escape from the giant planets
gravitational field in the left out time.
The head: how?
Nandan: “sir, after finding the escape velocity of the giant
planet, I came to know that the value is approximately equal to the rotation
velocity of the earth, which means we are not completely in the gravitational
field of that huge planet, we are at the boundary limit of the gravitational
field of that huge planet that means we can escape from its gravitational field
by slightly increasing the rotational velocity of the earth”.
NASA scientist: How can we increase the speed of earth?,
though you have an idea to increase the speed of the earth then how can you
control the things on the earth if the speed increased more than the required
speed.
Nandan: I have a plan to increase the rotational speed of
the earth slightly, but we must implement it as quickly as possible because it
takes much time to implement this plan, and we must also need some permission
from a country.
The head: what is that plan?
Nandan: we must first of all take permissions to break the
“Three Gorges Dam” located in China.
The head: what?
Nandan: yes, this “three Gorges Dam” is a hydroelectric
gravity dam which built across the Yangtze River in the Sandouping town in
China. And the reason why I am telling to break this dam is that “when this
monster dam started to store and leaves the huge amount of water, the
rotational velocity of the earth slightly decreased. So, the only option to
slightly increase the speed of the earth and to save ourselves from the huge
planet is to destruct the dam as early as possible”.
The head, having no other option he arranged a video conference
with the Chinese dignitaries and told this plan and he also mentioned that it
is the only chance for the life on the earth.
The
Chinese disagreed at first but as the time passed they too realized that it is
the only chance for the life on the earth. The Chinese government immediately
evacuated the neighboring cities, towns and villages down the three gorges dam as
early as possible.
Finally
3 days are left for the earth to enter the mars gravitational field. And
finally the time to destruct the monster dam came; they used automatic
explosives to blast the monster dam. A huge amount of water released all at
once into the neighboring evacuated cities, towns and villages. This resulted
to the submerging of some cities and villages under the water.
Due to
the release of the huge amount of water from the destructed dam, the earth’s
rotational velocity increased slightly at once and this resulted in equaling
the earth’s speed with the escape velocity of the huge planet and finally the
earth came out of the huge planet’s gravitational field and it exactly entered
into its original orbit of revolution.
All the
scientists and people are happy to hear that the earth again retraced its path
and for finally getting rid of that giant planet. Nandan thanked god for saving the earth from
the great danger, but all of a sudden the lab in which Nandan is sitting
collapsed. It is due to an earthquake occurred in the city where the lab is
located. It killed many scientists in that lab and a few were slightly injured.
Slight earth quakes occurred at most of the places around the globe due to the
sudden movement of the earth.
Some were
killed but most were slightly injured. Though they were killed this is not an
end of the life on the earth, as Nandan promised we won in the battle between
human and the nature, he proved that his plan works. Finally as the days passed
the reconstruction of the cities and town started, this time every city and
town is being reconstructed in an ecofriendly nature in order to avoid another
war with the nature.
April 15th, 2020
The sun is shining brightly in the
sky; the butterflies are flying from one flower to other. And the birds are
chirping in the garden. Anjali is waiting for Nandan very eagerly. The climate
that day is so pleasant and the sun is shining brightly, they wanted to meet
exactly in this type of climate.
As the
time passed, her mind started to flash some horrible news which she heard some
days ago about the death of many scientists in the earthquakes and some
horrible thoughts started to flash in her mind. Finally it almost turning
afternoon, she found no signs of Nandan, she understood that all these days she
waited for him wasted and she understood that Nandan also passed away in that
earth quake.
Suddenly
she heard the sounds from the grass in front of her. She took a look at the
person coming towards her in that grass. Her eyes filled with water and a smile
came in her face, she saw Nandan coming towards her. She ran towards him and
she hugged him tightly on that sunny day.
Happy
tears started rolling from Anjali’s eyes. Nandan finally proposed her as he
promised her 4 years ago and they were unable to bear the happiness, they
started staring into each other and finally they kissed.
They
sat in the garden all the day talking about their 4 years. It finally became
dark and they are still in the garden talking to each other. Nandan slept in
the lap of Anjali and glancing towards the dark sky. Nandan suddenly started to
confuse and asked to Anjali “Is today a full moon day?”
She replied “yes, today is a full moon day, why are you
asking me that?”
Nandan started to run nervously towards the gate of the
garden.
Anjali: what happened
Nandan? is anything wrong?
Nandan: yes, the moon is missing in the sky though it is a
full moon day, which means we have pulled the earth out from the gravitational
field of that huge planet, but we left our moon in the gravitational field of
the huge planet.
